When you arrive for your denture appointment, Dr. Bijan Afar will go over all of your options and answer any questions that you may have. Then he will come up with a treatment plan specific to you. You will then be fitted for your dentures, and when they arrive, he will make sure that they are a perfect fit. Dentures do take a little getting used to. You may have some extra saliva, speech problems, or minor irritation, but don’t worry - those will go away soon. It is important to make regular follow-ups to see if any adjustments are needed. Good oral hygiene is still recommended with dentures, and you should brush your gums and tongue and make sure to keep your dentures clean.
