Pro Teeth Whitening

A brighter smile with teeth whitening. We offer both in-office and at-home treatment options that are more thorough and long-lasting than teeth whitening kits you can purchase at the store. Give your smile a boost!

Teeth color changes over time. Many different factors can affect the color and shade of your teeth. These include aging, genetics, medications, tobacco use, different foods and drinks, disease, and more. Regardless of why your teeth are stained or discolored, professional teeth whitening is a great option to rejuvenate your teeth’s natural coloring. Mid-Wilshire Dental Care offers two types of professional whitening. Traditional teeth whitening utilizes custom-made trays with peroxide-based whitening gel that you can use at home. Our team will give you a treatment plan, and if you use the trays as recommended, your teeth will be brighter and whiter within a couple of weeks.

If you’d prefer our in-office treatment, we also offer Zoom Whitening. With Zoom whitening, a special light is used on your teeth once the gel is applied. After about an hour, your teeth will have lightened up to ten shades. Usually, before Zoom whitening is used, we recommend a full dental cleaning to make sure that the teeth are free from buildup and that your gums are protected.

No more hiding that smile! We understand how discolored teeth can be embarrassing. That is why Dr. Bijan Afar and the team at Mid-Wilshire Dental Care are passionate about giving you the smile of your dreams. Fix your discolored teeth today - Give us a call to set up your whitening appointment.

Tips For a Bright & White Smile

Here are some things you can avoid to minimize discoloration before and after treatment:

Coffee & Tea: Acidic drinks with strong tannins make coffee and tea some of the most prolific staining agents.
Carbonation: Believe it or not "light" colored soft drinks can stain and damage teeth just as readily as "dark" ones.
Tobacco: Tobacco products are incredibly harsh on your teeth and gums, not to mention your overall health.
Soy Sauce: Soy sauce and other brown dressings, such as balsamic vinaigrette, can cause tooth discoloration.
Candy: Ever looked at your tongue after eating that red sucker or chewing on a gobstopper... need we say more.
Berries: Funny, but even "natural" dark foods can cause your teeth to change shades just like "unnatural" ones.

“I decided to try teeth whitening and I really love the results. My teeth weren't heavily stained, but after 45+ years of use, my smile could use a bit of brightening! The team at Mid-Wilshire Dental Care was attentive to my needs and really seemed to care about my dental health. I will definitely go back.”
